It is the only in school organization with the family as its central focus.
Who are the officers of the 2008-2009 school year in FCCLA?
There are two chapters in FCCLA. Mrs. Corbell has a different set of officers than Mrs. Salinas.

What are the circumstances to join?
Any middle school, junior or senior high school student that is enrolled in or has been enrolled in at least one Family and Consumer Science course is eligible to pay their dues and become a member.
What are FCCLA's purposes?
To provide opportunities for personal development and preparation for adult life.
To strengthen the function of the family as a basic unit of society.
To encourage democracy through cooperative action in the home and community.
To encourage individual and group involvement in helping achieve global cooperation adn harmony.
To promote greater understanding between youth and adults.
To provide opportunities for making decisions and assuming responsibilities.
To prepare for the multiple roles of men and women in today's society.
To promote Family and Consumer Sciences Education adn related occupations.
What do you do in FCCLA?
FCCLA members help out with the community.
Is there competition involved?
Yes, competition is involved. Some students are involved in Star Events(Students Taking Action with Recognition) build proficiency and achievement in leadership and job related skills by participating in one of 14 events or 3 proficiency events.
